When I heard the rooster crow,

Heard that doggone rooster crow,
When I thought about yesterday -
Lord, it made me feel so low!

When I remembered 'bout yest'day,
Well, it brought me so damn low
I'd told the Lord I'd stick with him,
That to Calvary I'd go,
But three times I denied Him,
Then I heard that rooster crow!

Depart from me, Lord,
I'm a sinful man!
I said, Just walk away from me, Lord!
I'm such a, such a sinful man!
Can't even stand my own self
I can't imagine that You can...

The Lord, He said, "Do you love me?"
I said, "You know I'm fond of You."
The Lord said, "Peter, do you love me?"
I said, "I'm really fond of You."
He said "Are you fond of me, Peter?"
I said "O Lord, You know it's true!"
