Lyrics
My Nana loves to travel
Papa'd rather stay at home
My Papa built a flying house
Now they can easily roam
The house is forty-three yards long
And almost half as wide
One thousand tons are lifted by
Two mighty Taylor drives.
If you live in a flying house
No matter where you roam
Far and wide, come wind or tide
You'll always be at home.
My Nana is afraid of heights
My Papaloves to fly
When Papa shifted into up
They soon were four miles high.
Across the midnight sky they sped
A shadow o'er the moon
Content to know they would be seeing
Their two grandkids soon.
When your home can rise and soar
Above the highest sea
You'll own a castle in the air
And you'll be living free.
You might think you'd be surprised
To see a house in flight
"Looks like a blimp" my Papa says
"It's hidden in plain sight"
A house is hiding inside where
The great big gasbag goes
Three living decks, a garage, a dog
A garden with a rose.
No more airport taxis,
No more lonely hotels suites
Sleep in your own bed every night
And rest your tired feet.
Soaring high above the earth
They came to our home town
Like the softest feather
Papa gently set her down
The house knows Papa's voice and touch
He doesn't need a key
He took us grandkids for a ride
Above Yosemite.
No more packing up suitcases
Don't need no rent-a-car
Sleep in your own bed every night
No matter where you are.
Papa let me fly it home
It was a simple test
I typed one word and like a bird
It headed for its nest
Papa dropped us off at home
And we kissed Nana 'bye
I went to bed, but heart and head
I know a house can fly!
So, if you own a flying house
I don't care where you roam
Far and wide, come wind or tide
You'll always be at home
Yes, if you live in a flying house
No matter where you roam
Far and wide, come wind or tide
You'll always be at home
Far and wide, can't be denied
You'll always be at home!
